Here are some fun facts about my mentor coaching program
If I work with you, will my time with you meet all the ICF standards and requirements for mentor coaching hours?
Yes it certainly will. I keep my own MCC credential current, take ongoing education including ethics and I stay up to date on any and all changes to the ICF credentialling requirements so that you can work with me confidently, knowing that you’ll be supported in current ways. This includes the fact that I took the PCC Marker training so I’m up to date on the new core competencies. I’m also up to date on the new Knowledge Test and other changes we’re hearing about.
Are you able to mentor coaches achieving their ACC, PCC and MCC?
Sometimes, mentor coaches hold high standards that can intimidate new credential pursuers, I’m sensitive to that and adjust my listening to meet you where you are. I also like to host monthly optional group sessions with mixed credential holders because I think it’s great to hear the different ranges and styles. I grew my own coaching range in this way.
Do I have to work with you for 3 months?
You can mix it up, work with me for some of your required 10 hours, work in group and also work with other mentor coaches. What’s most important is that you give yourself time to integrate the feedback that you’ll be given on your recorded calls. Remember that of the 10 hours of mentoring, three hours must be one-on-one. The remaining seven hours may be one-on-one or in a group.
What can I expect from my mentor coaching with you?
I listen to your recorded calls extracting snippets with time stamps so you can easily listen to what I’m pointing to for yourself. Once you and I have listened to the call, we’ll meet to discuss how it went and to go over the markers that I’ll have matched to my feedback. You’ll receive a copy of the written feedback so that you can review it again. After every session, we’ll set you up so that you are focusing on a core competency that might require strengthening.
How do you integrate core competency knowledge into your mentor coaching?
During your mentor coaching sessions we’ll explore and discuss each core competency. In fact, I like to integrate this when I provide your feedback so that you can immediately apply and expand your coaching to include all of the core competencies. I’ve found this promotes coaching confidence and also has a positive outcome on clients.
